More To Come . . .

There's more history to come - We've not even begun. Here are some areas that will be explored . . .

  • Schools - from the 14th Street School to Modesto High School and more, almost all of them have an individual story.

  • More People - a city doesn't grow by itself, it takes citizens to help the growth happen and to accept the inevitable expansion in population and size.

  • Arts and Entertainment - early entertainment, Rogers Hall, the Lyric, the Modesto Theatre, the Strand, the State or the Covell - or the LaLoma - movies in an old Quonset Hut . . . they were the forerunners of today's Brenden and Regal Theatres, and there's a story to be told about each of them.

You'll want to hear about the Modesto Symphony, Moband, Modesto Little Theatre, Modesto Youth Theatre and much more.

And the upcoming Gallo Performing Arts Center, slated to start construction later this year.

  • And of course we'll devote some space to Modesto as it is today - with its influx of Bay Area commuters and the growth of Modesto into a major metropolitan area.

So stay tuned for more
